About Scottsdale Real Estate Blog

The Scottsdale Real Estate Blog seeks to provide information about Scottsdale real estate, as well as other local news, which may be of interest to residents of Scottsdale, or people considering moving to Scottsdale. Scottsdale is a large city, so to give every neighborhood in Scottsdale equal time would be a daunting task. Instead, we’ll focus on real estate in McDowell Mountain Ranch, DC Ranch, Windgate Ranch, and Silverleaf. Greyhawk and Ironwood Village may also get the occasional mention.

Throughout the week, you can expect to get a market update for Scottsdale, and each of the specific subdivisions, showing numbers of homes for sale, pending sales, and sold homes in the last 30 days. I’ll also talk about local happenings at Copper Ridge and/or Desert Canyon, along with area businesses in the Airpark, Family Fun Zone, Westworld, etc.

About Steve Belt

I am a REALTOR with Realty Executives.  I own my own satellite office within the company, which is conveniently located adjacent to Loop 101 right on Bell Rd.  I am a 10+ year resident of McDowell Mountain Ranch, and have lived in 3 subdivisions over that span, along with a brief stint at the Dakota Apartments.  A graduate of Arizona State University in 1991 from the College of Engineering, I have lived in the Phoenix area since 1986.  In 1992, I married my wife Jan, and together we have two daughters, Hayley and Emily.  Before becoming a real estate agent in 2004, I worked as a software developer for Intel, IBM, and American Express.  I now use my technical background and love of real estate together, helping people buy, sell, and rent homes.

Whenever possible, I love to ride bicycles. Primarily, I enjoy mountain biking, but my road bike sees over 1000 miles of use a year as well.  Along with cycling, I is study the martial art of Ninjitsu, which I jokingly refer to as protection from angry tenants.  I thoroughly enjoy going to the movies, but don’t ask me about movie trivia…I can’t remember trivial stuff.
